COANDA SCREEN

qwehr.png

Our unique QWehr weir system was developed and patented by our founder Peter Stocker. It combines the well-known advantages of COANDA screens with durability, impressive capacities and individual adaptivity. Therefore, the screen is predestined to be used for hydropower, snowmaking systems as well as in industry and many other applications.

Compared to other manufacturer the solid wire construction of the QWehr weir system has about 50 times larger cross section. This implies a high wear resistance. Investigation of existing constructions after several years proves this statement.

TYPES OF COANDA SCREENS

qwehr.png

Segments

The segments are available in standard or individual sizes and are fixed by inserts which are encased in the concrete. We provide 3 different materials for the rods.

Compact Water Intake

For smaller intakes or at remote areas which cannot be accessed easily we can provide a water intake entirely made by steel. It allows a fast installation and can be transported by helicopter.

Coarse Protection

At regularly heavy mudslides it is sometimes needed to protect the Coanda screen QWehr with a coarse gird.

Rotatable Rods

The rods of the Coanda screen QWehr can be rotated separately. Therefore, the lifetime of the screen is increased by a factor of 3.
